Duessa is one of Shasti's litter of eight kittens. See Shasti's page for the full story and more pictures. She is very vigorous and active, with a strong penchant for mischief. Even as a kitten, Duessa was fond of play-attacking and liked to get up on the back of the sofa behind me and hit the back of my head with her paw. She shreds toilet paper, paper towels, and -- on occasion -- paperback books, and steals anything that strikes her fancy and can be carried off. While clever and impulsive, she fortunately doesn't have a very long attention span and can sometimes be distracted from her evil doings. She is also affectionate and has a great deal of charm; she enjoys standing in my lap and being hugged and petted.
